Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day after all. I was able to get the first edition book that I found at the book store, Bug started getting better and breathing easier (*phew*), the kids made Sharky three wonderful birthday cards and we went to Cracker Barrell for dinner. (Mom had given Sharky a gift card to use for dinner.)

Sharky had the Friday Fish Fry, Petunia has mac & cheese, the boys had "Momma's Pancake Breakfast" and "Momma's French Toast Breakfast", and I had the chicken fried steak dinner. Mine was delicious but I should have had the fish like Sharky did. LOL (My blood sugar shot way up but eventually went back down to normal.) The peanut butter pie from the Edgewood Bakery was delicious even though it did have a meringue top (I don't like meringue, but Sharky does).

My SIL sent us an email telling me that she'd call and she actually did. Made Sharky very happy to hear from his sister. His mother never called of course. *sigh* (I would totally detest that woman if she didn't give birth to my husband - that is her only saving grace...)

Had "leftover" refried beans for dinner; I made burritos out of them. Very delicious if I must say so myself. LOL

Picked up two 8"x10" plastic picture frames from a fellow Freecycler and I'm going to "alter" them. Thinking about painting them black and highlighting with gold. Always need more frames for family pics and like being crafty at the same time. All our frames in the dining room are black, brown and/or gold, so it makes it rather easy.

Sharky fixed my printer (which had a gnarly paper jam) and repaired the toilet today (I broke the handle by flushing "too hard" LOL). He then went over Cousin Glenn's house and repaired his computer. Sharky still feels bad that he didn't get anything done today. LOL I wish he could have washed my car too, but it felt too cold for him to do that.

I'm really doing bad, very depressed about finances. Too many bills, too small cash flow. Went to Save-Rite (aka Winn Dixie in cheap drag) and bought some stuff for lunch and dinner and it was still $28. My gods, when did groceries become so horridly expensive?

Thinking about trying to get a tree next weekend if we can swing it. Holiday trees are so expensive nowadays - even little ones. *sigh*
