It's been a crazy day so far. First off:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LOVE!!!

Today is Sharky's 40th birthday and yes, he has to work. He also has to work tomorrow, but that's ok, it's only for a couple of hours. When we pick him up tonight, he's got a gift card to a restaurant in his birthday card from my parents, so it will be a nice surprise for him.

I went in the boys' room to wake them up and Bug wasn't there. I found him wrapped up in a blanket with a stuffed friend and Gabby on the couch. Turns out, poor kid wet his bed last night. He told me he was dreaming about driving a car and shopping at TRU with his brother and then using the restroom there and woke up to find himself actually going. I told him everyone has dreams like that - the key is to wake up before you go so you can make it to the bathroom in time. He told me last time he wet the bed, he was dreaming that he was at a masked ball and it started raining and a woman took her mask off and said "Oh my, it's getting very wet in here." and he woke up to a wet bed. I explained to him that it was his mind explaining in his dream why his body felt wet. No, I'm not angry with him, it was an accident. I just have to wash his sheets today.

I ended up keeping Bug home because he was so congested he could barely breathe. I gave him a decongestant and hopefully he can get some sleep and feel better soon.

Drove Sharky to work and the traffic wasn't too bad at all, but that rising sun was a killer! Wow, totally blinding. Had to get gas first, so that threw our timing off and by the time we got home, it was time for Petunia to go to school. Had to stop at home and run in to grab her backpack because the kids forgot to bring theirs in the car. She got to school with plenty of time for breakfast. *phew*

Spent a good portion of the day yesterday making my holiday posties. Made some really adorable ones for my Where's George? friends and a lovely doll one for my friends in the now-defunct Busy Gals Doll Club. These cards are totally original, made by me on my computer. I know, posties sound cheap, but I already had the cards and found postage I bought a long time ago (postie postage is cheaper than card postage). Plus, they are original - not store bought, so... I'm happy because this is the first holiday in a long time that I've felt like sending out cards. I hope the feeling lasts all season.
