Saturday
I truly love my new laptop but it is hard to get used to, even 2 months later. The keyboard is set back farther than the other and I'm constantly hitting the wrong keys. Using a tray table isn't cutting it either, hurts my back to type for any length of time. I wish I had a lap table of some sort to be able to sit on the couch and type in a more natural way.
Had a wonderful time at the Yelp event last night. Went to Newk's in Mandarin. I met two new ladies (one I met online, the other was brand new). I tried the Pimiento Mac & Cheese with bacon. It's not something I normally would order (not a huge fan of pimiento) but it was probably the best mac & cheese I've ever had in a restaurant. It was that good. Their salads were huge and the pizzas are all personal sized and freshly made. Yes, it's another restaurant that I wish were over here on the Westside of Jax instead of way out of the way.
On the way out, as I was leaving, the young lady handling the door to the restaurant told me she really liked my style. I was taken aback and said, what? LOL She did that gesture of moving her hand head to toe and said "I like your style." I just grinned like a fool and said thank you. I sang to the radio all the way home. Funny how something silly like that can make you feel good.
Sharky and Petunia loved the little bistro meals I got them at The Fresh Market. They ate their dessert (tiramisu bar) and watched a movie on Netflix. They didn't tell me until this morning that Rupert got on top of the fridge and pushed my gold Chinese lucky cat off and broke him into a million pieces. I was very sad. Bear bought that for me at the World of Nations many years ago.
Woke up at the crack of dawn this morning by a scratching dog, a cat who insisted on squeezing her self between the headboard, the window shade and the window and a full bladder. After meds and coffee, I ran to Krispy Kreme and used the free dozen coupon to get, yes, a dozen original donuts. Haha.
Sharky ran to check on the boat with Petunia and go to the Guitar Center. They also got my car washed. Yippee!
