Day 2: Finding Your People: Warmer vs. Colder
Day 2: Finding Your People: Warmer vs. Colder
“Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames.”― Rumi
My creative flames are fanned by…
My own ideas. Sometimes when I get an idea, it literally starts a fire and I have to do it. Sadly, that doesn't happen as much as it used to. I feel like I have a blockage that stops me from doing creative things. I wish I knew how to unblock it.
The people who inspire me most are…
My artsy/crafty friends who see something and DO IT. People who can see through an object, who can see not what it is but what it can be. I wish I could do that. My inspiration usually morphs along the way and the final product is usually very different than how I started it off. I envy those who can see the final version first.
What sets my life on fire…
I wish I knew. I have such desire, but there is that block again. Why can't I just push through it?
I will seek out my people here…
Facebook, believe it or not, is a boon for me. Not only do I get to talk to my artsy/crafty friends, I can see what they are doing (sharing photos, etc.).
Extra Credit: Reach out to a soul friend today.
Ironically, before I even received this prompt this morning, a FB friend I've never met (but we have a mutual real life friend) invited me to an art party later this month. I really admire this person's work although it is something I most likely won't do myself (jewelry creation). I am seriously considering accepting and going. Maybe that will help set my creative flames going?
