October Recap

1st/2nd - Took Tony for his overnight heartworm treatment. It was tough saying goodbye, hoping he'd know I'd come back for him. He acted like it was no big deal when we picked him up. LOL

3rd - Went over to BB's house for a going away party for her older brother, OJO. (He's going to the Army Nat'l Guard.) They fixed spaghetti and we brought cookies (a big hit). Afterwards, I got to play Cards Against Humanity for the first time.Hilarious! I want my own set now. The boys would love it. Sharky didn't go, he was coughing too badly. Petunia ended up spending the night there.

4th - Petunia and I went to the Gay Pride party at RAM under the bridge. Had a wonderful time and got to see her Music Appreciation teacher perform. I met him, he's a cool guy.

6th - Sharky went in to the chemo doc for a port flush.

7th/8th - Sharky home. He couldn't breath due to the coughing. (Radiation pneumonitis)

9th - Sharky had an appointment with the radiation doc for a check up.

11th - Petunia goes over to her friend Cory's house to go to the Oktoberfest in San Marco. I was forced to socialize with his & CD's parents. I lived. LOL

12th - Sharky surprised me with a Black Whopper for dinner. Not too bad. Yes, I pooped green later on. LOL

13th/14th - Had to drive Sharky to work and pick him back up. Too dizzy to drive safely.

16th - FCWR at Three Layers in Springfield.  We picked up CD from school with Petunia and then a friend of theirs met us there. Had a lovely time and met the bunny who lives in the Zen Garden.

17th - TBoo and BabyBug are in town (her mom picked them up and drove them down), so we met them in Riverside Park. Had a lovely couple of hours on the swings and feeding the ducks and geese in the pond.

21st - Spent most of the day driving around, picking up meds from different places for Sharky and checking on DW's house for him (out of town).

24th - Thanks to BIL MW, Sharky and Petunia were able to fly out of Jax Airport to Fort Lauderdale today. (7am flight. LOL) Taylor Swift, here they come!

25th - All by my lonesome, I went to AMC Regency and saw Crimson Peak. Awesome movie. Nice reclining seats too. Would rather go to Sun-Ray but they weren't playing it there.

26th - Took TBoo to E Street for lunch. BabyBug stayed with her mom because he was sick.

27th - I spent a good portion of the day at CS's house, playing with BabyBug. That night, Sharky and Petunia went to the Taylor Swift Concert!!!

28th - Picked up Sharky and Petunia at the airport and grabbed take out dinner at Pollo Tropical.

29th - Mica (car) got a checkup at Parts Garage.

30th/31st- No school, took Petunia to her doc for a checkup. Dropped her back off at home (she spent the night at MG's, then BB's) and then went over to CS's house. Loaded up TBoo and BabyBug and started the long drive to take them home. (Her mother couldn't be bothered, kept coming up with excuses not to take them.) Got to the 1/2 point to meet up with Bug and the car broke down in Santee SC. Called for a tow and Bug met up with us. Found out it was the timing belt and it couldn't be finished until the next day. We transferred the stuff from Mica to Bug's car and I rode home with them (another 4 hours). Spent the night there and then he drove me back to Santee. We still had to wait a couple of more hours before it was ready. Thank goodness he had some money and was able to pay for it. (Sharky's sister reimbursed him.) Got home around 6 pm on Saturday.
