Chemo #3 for Sharky went off without a hitch. In 2 weeks, he'll have another cat scan which will evaluate how well the chemo is working on shrinking the tumors. The results of that will decide how many more chemo treatments he will undergo. Right now, if everything turns out well, he will be scheduled for just 3 more. One of his meds that he takes is obscenely expensive - $500 a pill, but thanks to insurance, the copay is only $70 a pill. He takes it the day of chemo and for two days after. Luckily, he qualified for a program that takes care of the cost for us and ships him the medicine directly instead of going through the pharmacy/insurance company.
Petunia had a good time at KIPP yesterday. She wandered around, helping out a lot of her old teachers and doing chores for them like copying, filing, and helping kids in classrooms. Teachers and the principal told her they would love it if she could come by more often to help out. Sharky and I told her we'd think about it.
Yesterday was pretty rough. I'm doing better today, thankfully.
