Death sucks.

Death sucks.

Expected, unexpected, accidental, deliberate, murder, suicide, sickness, old age - it doesn’t matter. It still sucks.

Being part of a spiritual belief that accepts death as an integral part of life helps in a way, but it still sucks.

Knowing that even without religious beliefs, that all life is energy and cannot be destroyed, that a loved one will still exist in some form or fashion after death, be it memory or even just atoms? It still sucks.

As I age, everything ages around me. Things break and fall apart. And loved ones die.  Some sooner than expected, some later.  But it all still hurts. As time goes on, the pain might lessen.

But it still sucks.
