Monday
On Saturday, Petunia went over to BB's house for a sleepover. After we dropped her off, we went to Volde-mart and did some grocery shopping. Sharky said that I have more spring in my step and appear to have more energy than before. I'm glad to hear that because it doesn't feel like it. That evening, as a treat, the two of us went to Lola's Burrito Joint down the street. We were both good and only ate 1/2 our meals (the serving sizes are huge, so its not like we went hungry lol). I had my leftovers for breakfast, he had his for lunch.
Sunday morning, he met Mr. DW over at the boat but they didn't go sailing because there was supposed to be a huge storm coming our way. Thankfully we hardly got anything from it (other places had tornadoes). Petunia got home about 2:30 and promptly passed out, having been up all night long. We made her do her chores (school laundry) on Saturday morning so we would have to deal with it when she was all tuckered out.
Bear still hasn't received his Xmas package. Post office on base is closed on Saturday. Maybe it will show up today? *fingers crossed*
Mom is still having problems with her jaw - started before Thanksgiving. Had another xray last Friday, and this coming Wednesday will have an MRI. Previous scans showed a dark mass on the bone and they are trying to figure out what it is. Praying it isn't cancer.
I've been weighing myself daily and have come to a plateau. My lowest average is 221 lbs and cannot seem to break under that. I could eat less calories, but I'm pretty low right now (about 1600) and I need the energy. When I go below that, I feel weak and dizzy. I should exercise but the pain is just too intense at times to go walking. I know if I had a dog, it would be so much more motivation to walk around the block every morning.
Felinertia: Rose was a butt-head the whole time Petunia was gone. She wouldn't let us pet her and kept giving us the "stink eye." When she came home, Rosie ran about the living room, singing loudly and "sharpening" her front claws on the carpet (a happy thing). Then, this morning, when Petunia didn't get out of her room fast enough, she started singing again - this time, with a more annoyed tone. She's so funny, I've had talkative cats but this isn't talking, it really is singing. I hope to catch it on video sometime.
