Sunday

Had my appointment with Dr. D on Friday, he's the cardio-pulmonary doc. I did another breath test, much like one I took in hospital, and had a chest x-ray. Passed both. I did have a cloudy spot on my right lung, but he said the Symbicort has a tiny amount of steroid in it that should help clear it up. He'll see me again in a month for another check up to make sure the Symbicort/inhaler combo is still working. Sharky dropped me off and Mr. DW picked me up again. Seems to be a good combo. Will do again next Friday when I have an appointment with my regular doctor.

Didn't do much yesterday. Had a flu shot on Friday and it totally kicked my ass. Headache and worse, all over body ache. Still suffering today but its not as bad. The injection site is a red lump and sore, but that will go away. I usually do not get flu shots, but decided with all the meds I'm taking (and insulin) that its best to NOT get sick and have to take more medication. I found out from a friend that taking antibiotics raised her glucose levels thru the roof and I thought that was pretty scary. Petunia is supposed to have one soon at school, but hasn't yet. I should call on Monday and find out.

Yesterday was my mom and sdad's anniversary so I called them today (kept putting it off yesterday). Got to say hi to Aunty Sue as well, she had stopped by to visit. Since they only live a building apart, they see each other daily. Both have gotten so old, it is disturbing. :-(

Mr. DW had given me a bunch of cooking stuff that I'm passing onto Bug and TBoo. I took a picture of the stuff (most practically brand new, never used) and Bug was very excited. One thing I was very happy about, a brand new Black & Decker electric chopper. Perfect for making baby food when the baby is about 6+ months old. I had once years ago and used it for everything. I am keeping a glass chopper (jar with a metal blade you just "slap" to chop). That is perfect for just the 3 of us. Mr. DW has other things, like a set of Corning Ware dishes WITH LIDS that he's going to give us. I'm so happy because mine lost their lids during a move many years ago and we use those things for everything.
