Monday
Wednesday's concert went well. We had to sit through the 7th grade's performance, but they were very enjoyable. Mr. DW met us there and he had a good time as well.
Petunia finished out the week with no backpack. Friday was a short day and she came home and got ready. Luckily, Sharky was able to get out of work an hour early (at 4 pm) so we were able to get to the school on time. Mr. DW met us there. It was long, but nice, and we had decent seats (top of short bleachers).
Afterward, Petunia spent the night at her friend KMQ's house and then rode with them to the last prize school field trip to Adventure Landing on Saturday. She came home Saturday night.
Sharky and Mr. DW were supposed to go sailing on Saturday morning but the weather was not good on the river so he went to a tire alignment place to get the truck worked on and then came home. We had stuff to do but didn't do anything.
Sunday morning, we got up early and went to the Cool Moose for Father's Day breakfast. Sharky had a free Bloody Mary (lol) and the Colombian omelet, Petunia had her regular Belgian waffle, and I had a breakfast sandwich on a grilled croissant with a 1/2 order of biscuit & gravy (delish). After that, we ran to Publix and I picked up stuff for lunch this week along with dinner for Sharky.
Our grill is no good anymore (too rusty to be safe) so I cooked a couple of steaks on the stove for dinner and we had those with baked potatoes. Turned out pretty nice. Both boys called during the day and we called our respective fathers.
Today, Sharky is at work. Petunia is waiting for Mr. DW to come by, he's "hiring" her to help him paint his fence. They should have fun. We will be working on straightening up the house because the kids are coming next week.
