Sharky saw the lawyer yesterday, thank goodness for our tax return. Hopes are up, no guarantees though, but fingers are crossed.

Heard from Bug this morning. He was in a very slow (5 mph) accident this morning, sliding on ice into a steel pole. He is fine, the truck is ok, but the fender and hood took damage and possibly the undercarriage. He's already been in contact with the insurance company. Considering the ice storm hitting the SE USA coast today and tonight, this really was a small miracle. I told him to consider this Mother Nature's way of keeping him on base and not driving through horrid conditions. So, he won't be coming home tonight and the wedding is postponed for a bit. TBoo had a freak out moment from what I heard, but better him safe up there than in danger driving home. I do hope she realizes it.

As for my health, I still get the to-die-for headaches and eye problems in the morning but it evens out after a while. Definitely so much better than going cold turkey. (That happened by accident a few years ago and it scared the crap outta me. That is why I'm doing my best to wean myself off.) I'm still very sad over the loss of my friends. No one has tried to write or call me or contact me in any way.  Breaks my heart...

No, you probably can't see it yet, but I can. Wheels are now turning that have never turned before. Winds are now howling that have never howled before. And players from every walk of life are being drawn into place as if in some hypnotic dance. All because of you, your dreams, and your divinely stubborn persistence.

If I wasn't the Universe, I don't think I'd believe it.
