Thursday

Bug called last night to talk to his dad, who was very relieved to hear from him. Sharky knew I told him everything, but nothing is better than hearing from the source, you know? We are all sad we won't be seeing him for a while, but it's for the best. Sharky advised Bug to talk to TBoo to let her know that she's just going to have to get used to things like this, its called being an adult. Nothing always goes smoothly, there are always bumps in the road of life.

I think Petunia is going to try and attend FHP, the same magnet high school her brothers attended. She's looking at the automotive program, believe it or not. We had a long discussion about it last night. There is only one more tour date left before the end of the magnet application time and of course, it's during the day. I'll have to see if Sharky can take the time off that morning because there is no way I can do it.

My dreads are 48 weeks old now. I tied them up on top of my head this morning to get them off the back of my neck and when I walked in front of the mirror, I burst out laughing because it looked like a giant tarantula sitting on top of my head. I thought it was just hanging down nicely, oh no, they were all sticking up like legs and curving. No wonder Petunia was cracking up as she left for school.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I have no idea what we are doing. I've been so focused on Bug coming down, I really didn't think of the holiday. I mentioned it offhand to Sharky this morning and he said "What do you want to do?" and "What do you want?", neither question I was able to answer. *sigh* We've got to watch our money for the lawyer, etc., so any big scale thing is out of the question. Restaurants are no good, always packed. I love flowers and candy (duh) but honestly, I'd rather it be a surprise than to ask for it.
