Friday

Doctor visit went well. Both boys had 3 shots to catch them up, including the chicken pox booster. Doc was positive about Bear's asthma, saying as long as its easily controlled, no worries - only call if constant inhaler use goes to 2 or 3 days, and that it most likely looks like he will be "growing out" of it. (Bear was very disappointed when he found out from the USMC recruiter that since he has asthma, they weren't interested in him, but he says he's changed his mind and doesn't want to go the military route anymore.)

Doc prescribed some acne meds for Bug (thank goodness) and took a look at the discolored marks on his side (that he's had for many years). Doc thinks it might be incontinentia pigmenti and wants him to see a dermatologist for it since it is "a rarely seen condition." He led me to believe it wasn't all that big of a deal, but I looked it up online and it was quite scary but actually extremely rare for it to occur in male children, so... Bug also didn't test well in one eye (20/40) and they thought it would be a good idea to have his vision checked as well. Might as well take all 3 in as long as the insurance will cover it.

Lots of stuff planned for today. Bear is working (of course), Sharky is helping Mr. DW out with his Windows issues (again), and Petunia has a sleepover at a friend's house. Speaking of which, she found a bathing suit that fit her last year and tried it on again - omgs, totally busting out all over - and was very disappointed when I said it was just too small. I thought it was adorable, Sharky is having the daddy issues ("My baby girl is growing up!"). He's already lamenting the fact that she cannot sit in his lap anymore - all arms and legs and elbows and knees. LOL Since I'm shorter, I lost lap privileges long ago. I cannot even remember when the last time one of my sons sat in my lap. Its wonderful to watch your kids grow, but you always mourn the loss of when they were little and snuggly. *sigh*
