It's almost time!

As usual, C went over and beyond what was necessary. Her mom gave us a huge bag of t-shirts for the boys that she picked up at a yard sale. All the t-shirts are in great shape and some are vintage AC/DC concert Ts. So cool! C also made up goody bags for the kids and gave us some extra makeup to use. Of course, she also gave us our tickets - it's become a tradition for her to treat us to the Spooktacular.

After a nice lunch with C at Hovan's (I had the falafel plate combo with hummus and a Mediterranean salad - we split a piece of baklava), I swung over to the Dollar General. I know it's going to be cool and windy by the water and since Petunia's banshee costume is rather thin and filmy, I picked up a pair of petite womens white pantyhose for her legs and found a man's large plain white sweatshirt on sale for $2! I'm going to cut the sleeves to fit and she will wear it under her costume for warmth. It's almost knee length on her, so after Halloween, I'll just hem the sleeves and she can wear it as a baggy dress or top. Maybe I'll appliqué something on it for her too?

I also picked up bobby pins and clear hair elastics for $1 each and found BROWN elastics for me on clearance for 60¢! Those are hard to find, there was only one pack left or I would have bought more. LOL I also picked up a pack of combs for $1 - a banshee needs a comb to comb her hair while she's wailing. LOL

Going to have hot dogs and chips for dinner before we leave. I figure, if everyone is still hungry when we get home, we can always have sandwiches. No need to make a full meal. Won't be doing much spiritual stuff tonight, it's not often that Halloween falls on a Friday so we'll be enjoying it. Goodness knows, the dead know that we honor and respect them. *smiles*
