Oh my goodness. Yesterday was not good.

Went to Walmart on 103rd to exchange the doll and couldn't get any "greeter" to help me because two didn't speak English and the other one was too busy chatting up church with another customer. Then, when I went to the Customer Service desk, there was a useless excuse for a father in front of me, letting his 2 yo sons stuff wads of sticky gooey candy in their face while screaming and literally bouncing off the walls. The woman who waited on him flirted and batted her eyes, going on about how cute those little monsters were - when it was my turn, the only thing she said was "What do you want?" *sigh* After I got my money back, I couldn't find the toy section (this is a "new" store). I asked 3 separate employees where it was, just to receive a vague hand wave over to the left. Of course, when I did find it, there was nothing on the shelves to interest me.

I then went to Kmart on Normandy. I like this store, and not just because my neighbour works there. LOL The shelves are always stocked and the employees are reasonably friendly. Well, I found a surprise on the shelf (more on that later) and was thrilled. But, there was only one cashier open and the Customer Service desk said they couldn't open another register. I stood behind 3 separate people with 2 carts each (not kidding), obviously stocking up for some kind of pending disaster. Oh, they all had illegible coupons as well. *sigh* Well, even though the temperature outside was fabulous, it felt like they were running the heater on high, and well, between the stress and possible pre-menopause (*double sigh*), I was sweating up a storm.

All of a sudden, I heard a tiny little voice behind me and I turned around. It was an extremely small Filipino lady and she scrunched up her face like a little mouse and said "Excuse me ma'am, did you know you sweating?" I didn't know what to say to that so I replied "No" and turned around as she started blinking in confusion. Why in the world would someone say that to me? You know, if I dripped on her, I'm freaking sorry, but back up then! Was she trying to be helpful? If so, WTF???

I left there after making my purchase, swung by Taco Bell to get a couple of bean burritos, and came home. I was so depressed... Didn't bother to go to Publix.

To top it all off, by the time Sharky got home, my throat was sore, scratchy and it was hard to swallow. Had a couple of Hall's cough drops and the pain kind of faded. Right now, it's not as bad as it was, but I can still feel it.

I told Sharky what had all happened and by the time I was done, he was literally laughing his ass off. Wasn't that nice? Glad he could see the humour in it. Luckily, him laughing made me laugh and I felt better, other than the sore throat.

Watched Bones last night. OMGs the crazy bitch shot Seeley! I actually jumped off the couch, yelling "NO!" and then "YES!" when Bones "took care of the problem". The boys thought it was funny, how I reacted. Oh well, I really like that show. It's intelligent, funny, and the characters are all great.

I've got pictures to take of my new dolls (yes, two of them! LOL) later today and then I will post them on Flickr and in here.
