Had a great day yesterday. We got to the Cracker Barrel early enough to avoid the rush. The rush came just as we left. *phew* I had the French toast breakfast with 2 eggs over medium and bacon with a side order of hash brown casserole. Mmm, so good. Unfortunately, I over ate - 4 slices of French toast is too much. Bug agreed, so next time, he's going to order it and I'll just get my eggs/bacon/casserole and we'll split his French toast - 2 slices each.
Mom loved her biscotti jar (shaped like a ginger jar) with the sunflowers all over it. I'm glad. She loves that color yellow - has the tea set from Le Crueset that was discontinued (I helped her buy a couple of the pieces over the years). The biscotti jar has similar yellow in it and is a nice compliment to the plain yellow and yellow/orange pieces.
After breakfast, we came home and basically vegetated. The weather people forcasted bad weather around here but all we got were almost 40 mph winds - no rain at all. Darn, we really need it too. There are already wildfires sprouting in St. John's county (near St. Augustine).
Every thing is "back to normal" today. (Yeah, right. LOL) Have plans with stuff to do this week. Work on my inlaws picture frame (it's going to be a late Mother's Day / early Father's Day present for them). Need to swing by a different Wally World because Sharky and the kids bought me a duplicate Barbie and I want to exchange it. It's the thought that counts - they all wanted to get me the Barbie Top Model with the afro but couldn't find her, so bought the orange one instead - which I already had. LOL It's ok, I have the receipt - plus different Walmart might mean different stock. Hmm...
