Well, so much to tell! Where do I begin?

First off, Sharky & Bear had the time of their lives at the RUSH concert last night. Sharky says it was the concert was the best ever and Bear agrees, although it was his first concert. LOL Sharky had the patience of a toddler and downloaded the "spoiler" set list and said he shouldn't have, but ended up not caring because he enjoyed it so much. He said the floor seats I bought for him were fabulous. The only negatives for the whole evening were the $10 charge for parking (OMGS!) and the fact that they do NOT sell non-alcoholic drinks on the floor. WTF? To purchase something without alcohol, one had to leave the area and walk quite a ways to another concession. What a crock of shit. Sharky said that Bear was not the youngest either, he said there were LOTS of children running around. Sharky got around the whole drink issue by buying a rum & coke and, for an extra dollar (*rolls eyes*), the seller poured 75% of the coke (that Sharky already purchased) into a plastic cup for Bear.

Bug won 1st place for 8th graders at the Science Fair. I know, that's another WTF? ROFL After waiting for hours for him to call, Petunia and I just went to the school to find out there was a huge dinner and presentation party. Bug's art teacher (whom I had just met for the first time and was surprised to see that he was a ringer for the actor Matthew McConaughey) told me he was very surprised that we didn't come. I was honest and told him that Bug did not want us there and specifically told me not to come. *shrugs* Oh well, Bug got first place because of his presentation and display - as I told him, even a failed experiment (his mold did not grow) is still an experiment and he should present it that way. He admitted he was glad he had listened to me. He also took my advice on decorating his boards with drawn pictures of mold. LOL

The TU bus had shown up at the science fair's half-way mark so a lot of kids missed their ride home. When I picked up Bug, he asked if I could take his friend home who lives in Durkeeville. I said of course (how could I refuse?) and as we were loading up in the car, a girl ran up and asked if we could give her a ride home as well - she lives just down the street from us. I said yes again. Thank goodness I had enough gas. LOL Both kids were very polite and said thank you when I dropped them off. I waited long enough to see them go inside - both are latch-key kids, no parent was home. Talking to Sharky that evening, I wondered what they would have done if I hadn't of given them a ride. We both think the teachers at the school would have most likely shuttled most of them home so they wouldn't have to walk far in the dark.

Petunia and I (Bug too, he was still hungry) got take out from the Burger King here in Riverside. It was fresh, but it gave me horrible heartburn. A lot of fast food has been doing that to me lately. I should have bought a salad instead, but I don't trust the freshness of a salad from a fast food joint that late at night.

I had a horrible coughing fit when we finally went to bed at 12:30 a.m. last night (this morning?). Kept me up until almost 1:30, when I fell asleep most likely out of exhaustion.

TFIF! (Thank Freyja its Friday!) I have NO idea what I'm doing today. Most likely nothing. I did step outside already and trim the "weeds" around my amaryllis & lilies with my newly-found trimmers. OK, they aren't actually weeds, but baby trees that have rooted. I've been meaning to get rid of them for the longest time and realized that if I didn't do it now, they might kill my wanted plants by forcing them out. Besides, there is just not enough room for a tree or anything large in that area.
