Mom treated us to lunch at McD's on 16 yesterday. I was good and had the grilled chicken sandwich - and while it was tasty, I suffered from horrible processed chicken burps the rest of the day. Should have just had a stupid burger.
Afterwards, we went over to the Prime 1 Outlet (formerly Belz) and wandered around. Bear bought his sister and brother soft pretzels and a soda and I bought Mom and I a frozen "toffee coffee" from the Coffee Creations kiosk (delish!).
I wasn't going to spend any money at all (really don't have anything to spend) but in the VF's outlet's outlet (where everything is really marked down), I found Wrangler and Lee blue jeans for $5. Yes, not a typo, FIVE DOLLARS. I bought 2 pair for Bear and one pair for Bug. (Would have bought him two pair as well, but they only had the one pair in his size.) To make it "even", I found a really cool red t-shirt with griffins (in sort of a Mexican or Aztec style) priced $5 for bug.
I'm still happily in shock over the $5 blue jeans. Yeah, I might have found cheaper at a thrift store, but what are the chances and would they have been brand new? Doubt it. I made the boys promise to wash them and then to hang them up on the closet and save for school - which starts in a month!
I was earning a couple of bucks on line that I was saving for school supplies, etc., but I used some to buy those jeans yesterday. Found out this morning that there is a good chance that I will have to spend the rest of it on groceries for next week. Damn it. Two huge bills (mortgage and electricity) are due on this same check and I cannot do a thing about it. They both HAVE to get paid and that will leave like nothing. I don't even know wtf we will do about gas. I guess I'll make Sharky drive Bailey all next week and leave Ethyl in the driveway. *sigh*
I've even let my WG? membership lapse. Was saving change for that, but now will be using that change for necessary items like food and gas. LOL Most likely won't be entering in bills for a while either, so it's a trade off.
