Found out from a nice lady on a local bargain list that the same new diabetes meter I just got was on sale at Publix for $19.95 and that there was a coupon in the paper week before last for $20 off the same meter. Well, I found the coupon and ran to the Publix on Roosevelt and got the meter for free. Why would I do that, since I just got a brand new one? Well some of the ladies on the list save up special freebies like this and then donate them to charities (like battered women's shelters, etc.). Isn't that a great idea?
Afterwards, we shopped for a few things and then dropped off a couple of books at Panera's, then dropped off a library book and picked up two of Petunia's that were on reserve for her. She's really reading up a storm and I am so proud of her.
Kids were relatively good today, Bear just helped put a turkey in the oven for dinner tonight. Mmm, I love turkey. We will have mashed potatoes, peas, and biscuits with it. Found a lovely little seedless watermelon on sale at Publix for dessert - that's chilling in the fridge right now. I wanted grapefruit, but at $5.99 for 5 lbs, it's too much. *sigh*
I really don't feel good right now. Headache and stomach ache.
