Went to bed and slept good until I woke up with a coughing fit around 2:00 a.m. Sat up for about an hour, ate a couple of Altoids, then went back to bed. Sharky woke me up for coffee and breakfast a little bit after 8:00 a.m. Very nice! *cheezy grin*
Sharky worked on the truck yesterday for a while and Bug & Bear played on the computer in the morning. Bear and I went to the store in the afternoon and Petunia got to play on it then. (Bug's teacher told him about a fun, educational website called FunBrain and all three kids had a great time with it.)
We had hamburgers and french fries for dinner last night - both Bear and Bug shared cooking duties and did a fab time with it all. Sharky and I really wanted a steak and baked potato instead, but couldn't afford it. LOL! Decided that homemade burgers and baked fries were almost as good - and it was! Seriously - there is no hamburger better than one you make at home.
At the grocery store yesterday, I spent a "Georged" one dollar bill at the front counter. The manager held it up in the air and said "Hey, is this a love note to me?" I laughed and said, "Well, I'm here often enough, it's about time I started to give you some!" Everyone around us (it was crowded) laughed. *wink*
Miss B (C's mom) gave the kids a bag of toys she had picked up at a church rummage sale (everything was a quarter lol) and we found two really nice binoculars in the bag for the boys. I told the boys we'll have to go to a park soon so they can bird watch.
Oh BTW, totally forgot! The day the film crew was here? I found another new bird on the porch! It was tough to ID, I think it was either a House Wren or a Carolina Wren. I'm leaning more towards a Carolina Wren because the bird I saw was very compact and had no "neck" at all. (LOL) S/he hasn't come back (that I know of) but it was still neat to see!
Stella is doing better, she's definitely eating and is more alert than she has been in a while.
