The boys got their report cards yesterday. Bug got two As, 5 Bs, and a C in PhysEd (which makes no sense since he dresses out every gym day). Bear got 6 As and 2 Bs. Both of them scored well in conduct, except Bear got a warning for conduct in history. I told him to ask the teacher about it. (If all the other teachers say his conduct is excellent, then what is the deal in that one class?) Petunia gets her report card next week.
Made the best black beans ever last night. Even the kids agreed (and Bear is picky about his beans lol). I know what I did to make them taste so good and hope I can duplicate it again. LOL
Sharky came home 5 minutes early and I left to go get Bear from band practice. He had to run an errand to MC when I got back, so I was in a hurry.
Of course, I got stuck behind the Amtrack's AutoTrain on the first set of tracks. Waved to all the passengers (*grin*) and then made it to the second set of tracks. Huge freight train and it STOPPED. (The trainyards were right there, so it happens a lot.) Had to turn around and take the tunnel under the Myrtle Street Expressway, which (for the first time for me) was backed up.
Got Bear and then guess what? Yep, another train! Turned around, went back to the Myrtle tunnel, and BINGO, another train. *sigh* Ended up going down Park Street thru the other end of Riverside.
Luckily, we got home with enough time for Sharky to run to MC. We saved dinner for him and he loved the black beans and rice as well. LOL
