When Mom comes back to FL and gets Toby, I will definitely be sad to see him go. I am really enjoying feeling his warm fuzzy body curled up against my back, laying on my hair in the mornings. LOL

Malcolm and I had a nice time yesterday. I was sitting at the computer, reading email before going back and working on my AB, and I felt a little poke on my leg. I look down, and there's Malcolm sitting there at my feet. I petted him and talked to him for a little bit and then went back to reading. A few moments later, I felt a tap on my arm. Malcolm is standing up, one paw on the arm of my computer chair, and the other paw tapping me. I picked him up and he nestled his big fuzzy body in my arms and we just sat and talked for a while.

I know Malcolm loves me - you can see it in his face and his actions. He is not a cuddler, even as a tiny baby, he did not want to be held for long. But once in a while, he wants to be held and physically loved - something more than just head caresses and booty scratches. It felt so good...

Woke up about 5:15 a.m. today because this is Sharky's early week. I figured I'd let the kids sleep in because there is no school today. Petunia was up and wide awake at 5:30. So much for me crawling back to bed for a few more minutes sleep. Six a.m. on the nose, she starts in on breakfast. Geeze, when there is school, she doesn't eat until 8, so what's the deal about days off?

My blood sugar has been really great for the past month or so, thanks to the Avandia. I realized though, that the levels have been down because of a medicine, not because I'm eating well. Which isn't winning the battle. I want to be able to control this by real methods, not medicine, but it wasn't working. I was either eating bad or too good. *sigh* I don't know what to do anymore.

I have been searching my records, online and off, for a copy of my friend Robbie's Kugel. It was a recipe she gave me from her mom and it was perfect, no adjusting, no fiddling, and all of us loved it. And I cannot find it! Driving me batty. I know I saved it online and on my harddrive and I wrote it down too. (I cannot access my old Windows harddrive because it's not slaved properly to this one, hopefully Sharky can do it this weekend.) I really wanted to pick up the ingredients today and make some this weekend. I don't want to use someone else's recipe either. *pout*

Petunia is 5 1/2 years old. You are very right - always opposite of what you want! LOL

A kugel is like "Jewish macaroni and cheese" (LOL) and can be sweet or savoury. Robbie's recipe included sour cream, cottage cheese, and those flat wide ribbon noodles. The noodles are cooked, then everything is mixed together and baked in the oven. I personally preferred the savoury version. (The sweet contains sugar and sometimes cinnamon?) I still cannot find it, I think the recipe's on my harddrive that isn't slaved correctly.

I will definitely post the recipe in the blog once I find it!
