It's funny. After all that noise last night on the porch, you'd think there would be garbage strewn everywhere. I stepped outside this morning and it turns out that Spot had come onto the porch and removed an empty can of cat food from a tied up grocery bag and licked it clean. She didn't tear the bag at all! I'm amazed. (The reason I know it was her, was that she was passed out on the far end of the porch. LOL)
Sharky took the kids outside to "help" clean out the garage, with the end result being they find the car washing stuff and wash Bailey. They were only out there 15 minutes when they came running up on the front porch to show me a nice fat toad they found in the garbage in the garage. They wanted to put him/her in one of my plants on the porch, but I said no because I didn't want Spot or any other stray eating the toad. Toads are too valuable for that. I made them put him behind the garage where it is humid and damp all the time - a good toad place. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of him, and now he's long gone, hunting bugs. I told Bear that next time, remind me to take a picture.
I put a lovely little pork roast in the crock pot this morning so we can have BBQ'd pork on baked potatoes for dinner tonight. Yummy! When I went shopping at Publix yesterday, they had a couple of nice little pork roasts, but no affordable beef roasts at all. I like having beef once in a while, but geeze, sometimes the price is so high, it's obscene. We are doing really well on keeping our meat portion sizes down, but still. *sigh*
The boys bedroom is in pretty good shape, but Petunia's is still a mess. I think I might tackle part of it myself this week while they are in school.
