Wanted to try and make it to a Bookcrossing meeting last night, but ran out of time. Southside is too far for me to try and make in the evening, especially with traffic. Drat. Hopefully, next month I can make it.
Today is early release for the kids, but Bug is staying after for soccer. Boy, I haven't seen him this enthusiastic about anything (not card or game related) in a long time.
Woke up this morning and it's 45°F! Yippee! Of course, no one wanted to get out of a warm and cozy bed. Turned the heat on for a few, just to get the chill off the air. Bad news - going to be in the 70sF by the weekend. Drat.
Sharky pulled another one on me. When he talks to his parents (either set) on the phone, I'll ask "What's happening?" or "Anything I need to know?" and he always replies, "Nothing, same old stuff." and then - BAM - he just assumes that I know everything that was said. Got a call a few minutes ago - I'm supposed to buy some yellow grits and ship them to MI to his parents (can't buy it up there) along with the kids' pics. Package was promised LAST week. Huh? Didn't bother to tell me 'bout it. *sigh* You know, my powers of mind reading only go soooo far and do not extend to my inlaws. *sarcastic smile*
I need to increase my calcium intake. My nails are starting to shatter again. Not fun. I had a broken one when I woke up this morning, so I got some clippers to even them out and the one on my pinky just broke off at the quick. Ouch!
