Day 5: What To Do When Problems Overwhelm

Day 5: What To Do When Problems Overwhelm

“What an overwhelming lesson to all artists! Be not afraid of absurdity; do not shrink from the fantastic. Within a dilemma, choose the most unheard-of, the most dangerous, solution. Be brave, be brave!” ― Isak Dinesen

A dilemma I’m facing is:  Becoming a better housekeeper. I'm tired of procrastinating, both consciously and unconsciously.
It would be absurd to… Just not do anything at all. We'd never have any clean laundry or dishes and live in a giant pile of clutter. (*gasps of ironical horror*)
It would be fantastic to… Be able to do things without getting distracted and never feel overwhelmed and shut down.
Make a list of 10 unheard-of, dangerous solutions: (Dangerous? I don't know about that.)

  1. Make lists and stick to them.
  2. Always have cleaning supplies ready when needed.
  3. Do the day's chores before doing anything else.
  4. Don't let distractions get in the way.
  5. Ask for help.
OK, I only made it to 5 before running out of ideas.
