Day 1: Daring to Begin

Day 1: Daring to Begin (A 30 Day Journal Project)

“All glory comes from daring to begin.”
Ruskin Bond

Beginning this 30 Day Journal Project feels daring because…

Write down an achievement you feel proud of:

I'm sure a lot of people would disagree with me but I consider raising my three children as my proudest achievement. I didn't have brothers, but I raised two brothers to be awesome young men who love and respect each other. My daughter isn't grown yet, but she astounds me in her maturity at times. I know this achievement was done with at least 50% help from my husband (perhaps more at times) but I still feel proud of it.

In order to have (your proud achievement), I had to dare to begin…

I guess I had to learn to truly love another person. Loving oneself is easy, albeit a wee bit selfish, but learning to love another and to be able to raise children with them is harder than I realized growing up. I've also realized that I still have plenty of growing up to do myself...
