Odd Dream

Dreamtime: I noticed that large blue trucks filled with sand were in the driveway across the street, in a line into the street and into my driveway, completely blocking traffic. I looked across and saw Mr. Dale's house was flooded and that there was standing water behind his house. I grabbed my cellphone and my camera and ran across the street. (The trucks were gone.) I was trying to see through his house's open door to see if I could see the back yard when a man from the city came up, shut and locked it. I asked since when was there a lake behind it and he told me there wasn't, it was just that flooded. (There were also mountains and lots of trees and I was surprised that I had not noticed before. The lake was like a valley with houses around it and cars floating in it.) I told him I could tell because the water was starting to appear on my porch as well. The man left and I ran back across the street to home and told the kids (Petunia, a toddler, and Bear, a teen) to get their shoes on, we were going exploring. There was some construction debris in the yard and I saw three orange cats sitting in the shade of a saw horse & plywood sheet. I told the kids I wanted to make sure none of them were ours. I sat on the ground and started petting a female cat and she rolled over so I could rub her belly. I picked her up and pulled her into my lap and she snuggled up into a ball rubbing her face on my arm and kissing me. I told the kids I felt very bad because I could not take the cats inside.
