Monday

Sharky took apart the toaster oven and discovered that it is not repairable, it burned out. *sigh* I dropped a couple of hints to the boys and I think they might get us one. I sure hope so. It would be a cheap present (cost split into two) and something useful and needed, all of which they like.

Moved the old TV and its stand out of the living room and into the back room and cleared out the nook it was in. Sharky put up the old, artificial Yule tree and we all decorated it yesterday. We were going to replace it this year, but it's going to have to last one more. Maybe next year we can get a replacement. It was a great deal, it only cost as much as a real tree but has lasted so much longer. Not to mention, it's narrow and tall, fitting into our tiny house so much better. The middle lights are burned out, but we used a 20' strand of white lights to make up for it.

Found a box of Venetian blinds and put them in the window. The old set will be harvested for slats to repair the front window one (yes, the cats broke two more). So frustrating. Would be nice to one day have wood blinds instead of plastic.

Sunday morning, I made a nice breakfast (scrambled eggs & corned beef hash) and a nice dinner (cold seafood pasta salad). A cold dinner seemed appropriate because it was hot yesterday. I think I might make split pea soup for dinner tonight because it's cold. LOL Love this bouncing weather. Not.

Sharky has an online test to take today for a possible job. If he passes, he'll make an appointment to take a test at the job site (tool recognition, repair, etc.) and then, hopefully he'll be hired for January. *fingers crossed*

Didn't get to go to the library on Saturday, so will hopefully be able to go tomorrow.

Felinertia:  Sharky calls Lucie-loo a "bed traitor." She snuggles with him all day long and in the evening and even in bed, but as soon as I get in bed, she climbs on me and sleeps on my hip or thigh. I told him its only because I put out a tremendous amount of heat when I sleep. LOL Yesterday morning, I woke up and found her sleeping snuggled up against me (we were "spooning") and my arm wrapped around her like she was a teddy bear. She then woke up, realized where she was and did a freak out - jumped up, ran to the end of the bed and commenced washing herself. LOL It was funny. I have no idea how long we slept together like that, but I was pretty sweaty. She acted like she was embarrassed to have been caught in a compromising position and didn't want Sharky to see. (He did see and thought her and I snuggling was adorable.)
