Friday

Had an ok day today. Really pushed myself physically, so I'm in a lot of pain right now.

Wanted to get an early start, but wasn't able to until after 10 am. Had a couple of boiled eggs for breakfast - big mistake. We all had egg burps for a while. Ugh.

Went to the Volde-mart on 103rd and then left because they were hosting a PAL (Police Athletic League) event with buses and kids and families and tons, and tons, and tons of carts. Way too crowded for me. Went back to our regular one on Normandy instead. Sharky & Petunia went on their way and I did the shopping. Got a present for Bug & TBoo and then some stuff for Petunia, thanks to my mom's gift card. I did pretty good and found some great stuff.

Afterward, we went to the Steak 'n Shake in OP. Ran into JBun's sister, DB, and said Hi. I knew she worked at one, but didn't realize it was that particular one. We had a great lunch, again, thanks to my mom. Petunia had just a double cheeseburger & fries. Sharky and I both had a bowl of chili & fries. Then, Sharky had the Jalapeno Crunch double burger and I had the Portabello Swiss burger. Petunia had a Peppermint Chocolate Chip shake, Sharky had a chocolate/vanilla shake and I had the White Chocolate shake. OMGs, they were so delicious.

Was going to swing by Earth Gifts for my calendar but Sharky said not to, because I might get it as a present. They took me home and then went back out to check on Mr. DW's sailboat. (Which was fine.) I tried to nap, but was only able to do it for a little bit at a time. Didn't really get a rest at all.

Ordered a new power cord for my laptop off of Amazon on Wednesday. It was a great deal, and hopefully will be here soon. Of course yesterday, my laptop's battery dropped dead, so I ordered one of those. Wish I had thought it out, I could have ordered both at the same time. It doesn't really matter though because the first had free shipping and the second was a fab deal for batteries with super cheap shipping. This laptop has really been a pleasure to have and less than $20 to keep it going is worth it. I'm counting it as my Yule present.
