Saturday

I had it on the calendar that Petunia was supposed to have Saturday school this morning. Imagine my surprise when she and I arrived at the school to find out that it was NOT today. *sigh* Bug's PT was canceled and someone had already been scheduled to take his place at work, so he's home for the day to help out Sharky around the house. We have a new toilet (yippee!) which they will install. Also have a cell phone to turn on and other things to do.

Poor Sharky yesterday. They got all the way to the Jax city line and got a phone call that something was wrong back at the job site. Had to turn around and go back to fix it (simple thank goodness) and then came back. Petunia had a stomach ache and I picked her up early from school. Finally, it was time to get Sharky and we decided to go ahead and have an early dinner at Famous Amos. I finally had a chance to try their chicken livers. OMGs they were fabulous. Seriously. Came home and found out that Bug didn't have to work after all. Sharky went straight to bed and Bug went out with his girlfriend (they saw the movie "The Lady in Black" starring Daniel Radcliffe).

Bug told me my mother called while I was gone, so I called her back. Turns out that little Chloe, my mom and sdad's little dog, had passed away. She was 10 but had liver failure last year and was on medicine for it, but she had just gotten too old and her quality of life had really diminished. Mom said she slept and ate, but didn't want to play or socialize and could barely walk (they had to carry her outside for her to go to the bathroom). So, they took her to the vet's and had her euthanized. Mom was sure my poor sdad was going to have a heart attack, he was so devasted. I told the kids and Bear promised to call them this weekend.
