Friday

Bug came home from FCCLA yesterday evening - he and his partners won GOLD! I'm so proud of them! They will be going to State in March. Yippee! His friend EL's dad will be chaperoning again, like last year, so he knows he'll have a good time and I know they'll be safe.

My FIL has declared war on me on FB. All I did was read an article on archaeology (rebuilding the Mithras temple in London) and when he read that notice, he started preaching. I asked him a couple of times, very nice and polite, to stop and he refuses to, saying he will not allow me to do things like that and he won't keep quiet about it. *sigh* From now on, I will be ignoring anything religious he posts to me, because I refuse to be drawn into an argument. Logic and quiet reasoning fails in this matter, because no matter what I say, he just yells "I'm right and you're wrong!" You cannot argue anything with a person who does that. *sigh*

I don't want this, I really don't, but I'm 45 years old and refuse to go into the closet for anyone. If he cannot deal with this, it is his problem, not mine. I just do not want Sharky or the kids to be hurt in this. FIL has already started posting scripture on Bear's page, but Bear knows to just ignore it. So does Bug, for that matter. They are both very mature and understanding young men.

Speaking of Bear, he called on the phone last night and we got to talk to him for a long time. So glad to hear from him! He's going to let me know his address soon, so I can start writing him again.

Oh, more bad news. Everything is starting to back up. AGAIN. Bad. Poor Sharky, I know plumbing issues are like the last thing he wants to deal with when he gets home today. *sigh*
