Tuesday

Bear got the job. Irony, I had told him when he first stopped by the bistro that since it was a "mom & pop" place, they might not be hiring. The lady told him to email her his resume and then he dropped another off, just in case. She called him yesterday to come in and interview and he got the job. Turns out, her only helper moved and she needs help with the prep work. I think she might actually like the fact that he had no real work experience (except for culinary school). I love the fact that she is willing to try him out. He's very excited. Bug confessed that he is jealous and cannot wait until he turns 16 and can get a job too. Petunia just thinks the whole thing is weird. LOL

"The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. To dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed, but lack of faith. Patience, patience, patience, is what the sea teaches. Patience and faith. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach — waiting for a gift from the sea."
- Gift from the Sea (1955) by Anne Morrow Lindbergh (June 22, 1906 - February 7, 2001)
