Happy 233rd Birthday USMC!

It's 52°F right now and everyone (but me) is freezing.

Today was supposed to be a day off of school (a "weather" day) but thanks to the non-eventful hurricane the first week of school, they DO have school today. Talk about a bunch of grumpy kids when they found out last night. LOL

Bug was sick on Friday, and as luck would have it, Bear is sick today. I (jokingly) told Bug he could stay home too and he refused, saying he wanted to go to school today. *shrugs* Hey, why not. LOL

Got our pictures taken yesterday. Had a lot of fun doing it too. They will be ready in less than 2 weeks, just in time to be stuffed in the holiday letters to various relatives. EEK, speaking of which, I need to get going on making the holiday cards. I was in the WG? SE Forum card exchange last year, but won't be participating this year, money for postage is just too tight right now.

ADVICE FOR TODAY: Always open junk mail. Seriously. Week before last, I opened a piece and there was a crisp new George ($1) in it - obviously a bribe to take a company's survey. Last Saturday, I opened another one and found a brand new Tom ($2), same deal. Makes me wonder how many people out there just threw theirs away without opening?
