Aarrgghh...

I experienced a Linux Grub error this morning directly caused by attempting to use the "hibernation" mode last night. (One of those "tips" to help one save money, supposedly "hibernation" aka "sleep" mode saves a lot of electricity.) Lesson learned? Sleep/hibernation does NOT work on Linux OR Micro$oft. (I tried it previously on various M$ machines in the past and it always hung up on me.) Grub errors can be dangerous, but luckily Sharky remembered the correction keys when I rebooted back up and was able to correct the error. Thank goodness for my smart husband. LOL

My neighbor is having a yard sale today and I bought a wooden park bench from him to replace the futon the boys broke. (I swear, the manufacturer used balsa wood for the slats, they broke the first time one of the boys stood on it - even though I told them not to.) This park bench is heavy and sturdy and should withstand my teenagers. It's white, but we can always paint it. LOL When the boys get home today, I'm going to send them over to pick it up.
