WG? Hit #648, Orlando FL

Well, it's Saturday morning and we are still off line (haha keep reading). Found out Thursday that the server had either crashed or had been hacked and when Sharky checked it when he had got home from work, said it looked like it was pretty much dead. He worked on it on Friday and could not get it back. Hopefully today, he'll be able to build another one - he did say we had enough parts laying around to do it.

Thursday was just a shopping day, dropped off the books back at the library in the early a.m. Friday was the 4th of July and we were going to my mom's but my sDad was having chest pains and they decided to cancel it. We spoke to them later on in the day on the 4th and both had regretted not having us come down. We didn't do much on Friday, other than let Sharky recuperate from his first week at work. Petunia had a fit because she expected that this was going to be "the best 4th of July ever" (exact words). Had no idea where that came from. She and Sharky had their usual routine of going outside and watching the neighbors attempt to blow their fingers off and then viewing the downtown fireworks from the front yard.

I was supposed to do WG? GTKYFG in the SE forum for Delray Dude during his "four" day weekend, but thank goodness I had his cell phone number and was able to text to him and let him know about the problem. He handled Thursday and Friday, and got someone else for Saturday.

Sharky and I watched "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" (2007) on Friday night. It was stupid and silly, but had a few good laughs. I still cannot stand the lead actor, John C. Reilly (he gives me the creeps).

Hell, I miss not being online. It's not just the blogging and the interaction with friends, I had no idea how much I depended upon it for dictionary/encyclopedia/atlas/etc. purposes. It's a lot more than I ever thought I did.

Latest earworm is "Just what I needed" by the Cars. Picked that one up courtesy of the "oldies" station.

Out of my five incisions, 1 is invisible, 2 are almost there, and 2 are still ugly, but healing well. My skin itches like crazy at times, so I just carefully itch around the wounds. Don't want to tear anything open.

Sharky has become fed up with trying to fix the server so he's looking around for an external modem to fix the problem. Sure hope it works.

Wow, we're back on-line! Yippee! Have a ton of spam email to delete. Turns out the 8 year old modem crashed and took the server (built out of a 20 yo box) with it. Everything is hunky dory now and I'm happy.

Just sent and rec'd a text from Delray Dude, I'm back to do the GTKYFG question tomorrow.

Both yesterday and today, Sharky has been really down in the dumps. He says he doesn't feel well, I think he has some kind of bug. Hope he gets over it soon. I'd get him medicine if I knew what was up.
