The boys and I had fun last night, stayed up to watch America's Most Wanted, then Fox News, MadTV, the rest of Saturday Night Live, and then we found (at 1:00 a.m. LOL) a NOVA program on PBS called "The Perfect Corpse" which was all about the newest Bog Bodies found in Ireland. FASCINATING! It was like watching a CSI episode from an anthropological perspective. Why they don't show that at more "normal" hours is beyond me. Yes, at 2, when it was over with, we went to bed. LOL

I had just dozed off, perhaps even slept for about 1/2 an hour when the neighbors started their car and drove off. Five minutes later, they came roaring back into the driveway and car doors started slamming before the car was even shut off. Screaming then commenced. Words like "f*ck you" and "c*cks*cker" where screamed, just inches from my bedroom window. I then discovered from the (older) mother that the young man who drives the car is "...so lazy you only leave the house to nail some wh*re!" [I've now figured out that in the 3 bedroom, 1 bath home (almost identical to mine) live a mother & father in their 40s or 50s, a young man (20s, son) in a wheelchair, another 20+ yo man, a 20+ yo woman who is a mother to a toddler girl, and the aforementioned 20+ yo man who drives the car (who is not related to the others, but is the toddler's father). That makes a total of 7 people, none of whom appear to have a job.] They moved the fight into the house (not before the mother screamed that if the guy locked her out she was going to "break all those f*cking windows"). Guess what? Yep, I could hear the fighting from inside their house, with all the doors and windows closed, and the central a/c on. Muffled screaming and yelling and what I think was banging repeatedly on closed doors. Shit, I couldn't NOT listen, it was that loud. Every time I was just about to get up and call the cops, it would quiet down, then start up again. I eventually fell asleep. *sigh* Who knows when it really ended?

Oh yeah, the piece de resistance to all that, this morning, I woke up at 9:00 a.m. and the freaking neighbors across the street (the slum lord's other house) were setting off FIRECRACKERS outside (you know, the noisy screaming kind). OMGs, WTF??? Who are these people??? Someone ought to find their parents and slap the shit outta them for raising such rude idiots!

We had some really nice storms yesterday, no thunder or anything but some good hard showers. We might get a few more today, but they say we most likely will not. Too bad, I was looking forward to a nice rainy day again.

My computer monitor is showing signs of failing. Lines are beginning to appear at the top of the screen. Last week, there were 3. Now there are about 9. I hope the monitor can just hang on long enough until we can get a replacement for it.

Hey, the boys just woke up, on their own, before 11:00 a.m. It's a MIRACLE! LOL Sharky and Bug had a nice time yesterday working on Bug's bicycle, they might do that again today. I have to go to the grocery store - out of coffee and some other essentials...
