Did some money "laundering" today - washed and ironed the Georges we are taking to the World of Nations tomorrow. (When they are clean, they take the stamps clearer.) Sharky thinks it's absolutely hilarious when I wash money. *wink* This time, I was smart and used a lingerie bag when I washed the bills. They still became clean, but didn't go all over the washing machine like last time and hide inside clothing.

Got some very disappointing health news this morning. Spent some time crying and moping. No, I'm not over it, am quite depressed, but there isn't much I can do. *sigh* I'm so tired of being sick and tired, but it looks like I'm just going to have to deal with it because I cannot get any freaking help. Damn insurance companies...

Bear got home and I told him the simple chore to earn some money for tomorrow. He started to throw a toddler tantrum, saying "it's too hard". He's so frustrating. I told him that was the only way he was going to get money. Bug won his and Petunia saved hers - Bear had money in the past and chose to spend it instead of saving it. *shrugs* Either he gets it or he doesn't. I'm not going to just hand it over to him. He's 15 years old and needs to get some responsibility.

Bug got home and is all excited. He had a great time at the WON field trip today. He had a lot of fun in Cuba, bought himself a really nice wallet and a "do-rag" and of course, ate lunch there. He was paired off with his friend Dylan who, like every other kid, wanted pizza for lunch, but Bug "tricked" him into getting a Cuban sandwich. Dylan was very appreciative (LOL) once he tried it and agreed it was a LOT better than a slice of pizza! Bug bought me a present - a lovely pair of chopsticks from Thailand, in a brown and gold colour. What a sweet boy!

Petunia is just over the moon with excitement. She started saving money back around Valentine's Day, especially for our WON trip tomorrow. She's done nothing but talk about it every time she takes her piggy bank out. I'm amazed at her stamina. The boys never lasted so long with saving money. They would make goals and then break them. I'm glad to see at least one of my kids has patience.
