I am so ecstatic. I received these lily plants from a fellow Freecycler on the far west Westside of town a couple of years ago and planted them on either side of my Confederate Jasmine arbor. FINALLY, they bloomed! We saw them for the first time as we were backing out of the driveway on our way to MI. That first set of 3 have already bloomed, this is the 2nd stalk. There is one more to go that is still in the early stages. The right hand side of the arbor has not shown any signs of blooming and I don't even know if they are of the same variety as these.
BTW, when I was taking the pictures, I looked up and saw my neighbour across the street and her friend watching me with big grins on their faces. I must have looked quite silly, squatting, leaning and twisting, trying to get a decent shot of the lilies. I smiled and waved - glad to know someone is amused by my antics... ROFL!
