Laying in bed last night, snuggling with Sharky, I looked out the northeast window and saw the moon coming over the roof of the house next door. Even through the blinds, it was beautiful - and a rare sight for us. I did not feel a rush of energy, but a calm and peacefulness that made it easy to fall asleep.

Bug is home with me for the next two days, he's been suspended from school. Last Tuesday, the 15th, his teacher called me to tell me that he was caught cheating on homework. He didn't do it the night before, so instead of being honest, he took another kid's work and put his name on it. Geeze... The teacher was infuriated and so was I. I told her that whatever punishment she wanted, I'd stand by her. She gave him a referral and sent him to the House Administrator's office (we used to call them "deans" when I was in school). Of course, what happened next was very typical for my strange son. He's so loved by all the teachers and staff, the HA actually let him choose what days he wanted. When he called me, I could hear the two of them discussing what days he was to be suspended - the HA was feigning anger and failing, ending up laughing. *rolls eyes*

Bug isn't getting off lightly here at home - no computer and no PS1. He's got to work: laundry is an option, so is cleaning off the porch, etc. He needs to be reminded that this isn't vacation.
