Sharky and I watched Orgazmo (1997) last night - yes, you read that title correctly. It was rated NC-17 but that was really just for explicit dialog - I've seen more nudity in R movies (this only had a quick flash of boobs and lots of hairy male rear-ends) and all the violence was faker than tv wrestling. Frankly, it's a very silly movie making fun of Mormons and pornos. Only Trey Parker could combine the two. It could have been funnier and it definitely could have been a lot worse. I gave it 2/5 stars just because I did laugh out loud a few times. *wink*
Here's two we watched that I missed reviewing:
Ghost Story (1981) I saw this in the theatres when it was first released, wow, can it be 17 years now? The quality of the DVD I watched was first rate and seeing Fred Astaire and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. on the screen, looking like yesterday, took my breath away. Unfortunately, it just wasn't as scary as I remembered. Don't get me wrong, it is still a good movie but one really needs to read the book by Peter Straub to fully appreciate and understand it all.
The Ant Bully (2006) We watched this one as a family and enjoyed it. It was sweet and entertaining, you didn't have to think hard and it had a nice message. I actually enjoyed the animation - the ants weren't really "ant"ish, but better than others I have seen.
