The Golden Rules:

  • Baha'i: Choose thou for thy neighbor that which thou choosest for thyself.
  • Brahmanism: Do naught unto others which would cause you pain if done to you.
  • Buddhism: Hurt not others in ways that yourself would find hurtful.
  • Christianity: Whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, do you even so to them.
  • Confucianism: Don't do to others what you don't want them to do to you.
  • Epictetus: What you would avoid suffering yourself, seek not to impose on others.
  • Islam: None of you believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.
  • Judaism: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
  • Native American: Don't wrong your neighbor, for it isn't he you wrong, but yourself.
  • Scientology: Treat others as you would want them to treat you.
  • Seneca: Treat your inferiors as you would be treated by your superiors.
  • Shinto: The heart of the person before you is a mirror, see there yourself.
  • Socrates: Don't do to others that which would anger you if others did it to you.
  • Taoism: Your neighbor's gain is your own gain and your neighbor's loss is your own loss.
  • Wicca: As long as it harms no one, do what thou wilt.
  • Zoroastrianism: Whatsoever is disagreeable to yourself don't do unto others.

Had a great time with my Mom yesterday. Went to the Prime One outlet mall in St. Augustine and walked around. Picked up some body wash at the Bath & Body Works outlet - my favourite scent in the world (next to patchouli lol) is Sandalwood Rose. It's so rare to find it in products that I couldn't resist buying myself a bottle. Alright, I confess, I bought 2 bottles because they were big and only $2.99. LOL It's a good "investment" because it will last me a long a time. *grins*

Afterwards, she took me to lunch at Cracker Barrel. I was a good girl and had a house salad - the cheapest (and healthiest?) on the menu. Mom tried to protest until I explained that I wanted dessert too. LOL I had the blackberry cobbler. Mmm, so good!

Have holiday banking issues again this week - hopefully the last for a while. So, I'm going to pick up Sharky for lunch during the bank run. It will be nice to spend a few minutes alone with him.
