Bug came home yesterday afternoon with a permission slip for a "lock down" party at school last night. It was a "write-a-thon" to prepare the 8th graders for the upcoming FCAT. I checked with Sharky and he agreed that it sounded like fun, so at about 6:30 p.m. I loaded up Bug and picked up his friend D, and went to the school. To Bug's embarrassment, I insisted on walking them inside before leaving. Geeze, boys... *rolls eyes* Picked them both back up this morning at 6:45 a.m. They had a lot of fun - food (bbq chicken dinner and an ayce sundae bar), games, prizes, etc. Yeah, they had to work for it by writing some essays, etc., but both agreed it was worth it. Bug stayed awake the whole time, but D was caught dozing off and got the "whipped cream" penalty (someone sneaks up behind and sprays it on your face lol). Bug stayed up for about 30 minutes once he got home and then he passed right out. Poor Gabby was so happy to see him! LOL
It's cold and raining out. I don't mind either except the dampness hurts my joints badly. Not sure what's going on, except I have to get to the library so I don't go mad without something to read. Probably have to go grocery shopping as well. Ick.
