Went all the way down Normandy to the only Big Lots on this side of town and they did not have the one thing I wanted. Very frustrated about it.

Had to get home in a hurry because I had a feeling a package would be delivered. As soon as I unlocked the front door, the FedEx minivan showed up with the two packages I was expecting! One was small and easily handled, the other was 3 feet long and quite heavy. (The delivery guy, unfortunately, was short and didn't have a package worth mentioning. *snickers*) I asked him if both packages were from the same place (they were sent from a friend's place of business that deals in fruits & nuts, etc.) and he read the labels and said "Yes they are. Wow, you must really like nuts!" I turned red and he started to stutter. ROFLOL

Sharky told me to go to the store today and buy a turkey since we are going over Billiam's house on Sunday and he's going to fry it up while we watch the game. Of course, all they had were tiny and giant, so I bought a 20 lb one (hey, they were only 79¢ a pound). Now Sharky tells me it's most likely too big, I should have bought a 14 lb bird. *sigh* I would have if they had one...

Picked up cookies and candy canes for Petunia's party tomorrow. Tried to get ahold of her teacher to see if they needed drinks (I have two packs of Capri Suns in the pantry) but she wasn't there. I'm thinking about sending them in with Petunia anyway, just in case.

Bear had a party in his Spanish class today - he brought in 2 bags of corn chips and a jar of salsa. (He also brought paper plates and napkins, his own idea. Smart guy.) He's baking brownies tonight to pass out to his friends tomorrow as early holiday gifts. I offered a chance for Bug to do something similar but he wasn't interested.

My MIL called while I was out and left a message for me on the answering machine. She called me by her other DIL's name and then told me she was going to mail our package but she didn't have our zip code and it was all my fault that it won't be mailed today. I called her back (using my cell phone so I wouldn't have to pay long distance) and she told me to "never mind" that she and her husband used special processing glasses (?) and figured it out themselves. (Maybe she meant a magnifying glass?) She then told me that she was most likely going to buy super special fancy sneakers for the kids to wear to school because she knows that I won't buy them - but then she said "don't worry, I know you don't mean for them to look so poor." I would be insulted if I didn't know any better. *rolls eyes*
