Dreamtime:
I was in the living room when I heard a man's voices from the porch outside. I looked out and there was a guy in a parka going through my garbage can. I asked him to leave and not make a mess when I realized there was another guy inside the can, obviously dumpster diving on a small scale. When they realized I noticed them, they ran across the street to Mr. DL's house. I grabbed the phone and dialed 911 and when the operator answered, I told her I needed some vagrants investigated. She asked for their description and then I realized the guys were twins. Both were white with scraggly hair and beards, but one was in pants and a parka and the other was wearing a baseball cap and 1970s era running shorts and sneakers, nothing else. As I was talking to the 911 operator (who was quite friendly), I saw the guys run across the street and open up the doors to a Rolls Royce pick up truck parked there and remove a garment bag. I told the operator that and she expressed her amazement at their audacity and said a cop would be out here as soon as they could. Next thing I knew, the guys were dancing down the street, being followed by a small marching band (all dressed in white track suits with different corporate sponsors) and a flag team, interspersed with just walking people in similar suits. I kept narrating all the happenings on the phone to the operator who was amazed at all this. One of the marchers came up to me and gave me a bag of clothes. When I opened the bag later, all the clothes were too small, so I decided to give the clothes to a charity later.
There was a hummingbird trapped on the screen porch in back of my house. I debated making a sugar water solution for it to eat but realized I did not have a feeder. My stepMIL held the door open and my boys and I tried to shoo it out too. It wouldn't go. She built a small box for it to live in and put in an apple covered in sugar. There was a bird box next to it with sugar covered oranges.
I was in the back yard of the house I grew up in looking at the neighbours behind me. Everything looked the same, except someone bought the Lewis' house and turned the back yard into a farm. I talked to Sharky and told him we needed to contact Code Enforcement because there was no way you could grow a harvest on 90% of your back yard and have it be legal.
