Just came back from the orthodontist. Petunia has to have (beginner) braces on her front top teeth to correct a "cross-bite" alignment. Even though she is only 7, it is imperative that it gets done now before (1) she loses an adult bottom tooth and (2) her jaw becomes out of line or even disfigured. Bad news - very good chance our dental insurance will NOT cover it. *sigh* They say that dental rarely covers braces, even when "medically necessary" (like in our case)! It's going to be about $1300 total, with $300 down and the rest over 8 months. It's going to be hard, but we have to do it.
