Another morning without Stella. I wake up often, during the night, and when I trek to the bathroom, I still look at my feet to make sure I don't step on her by accident. I still look for her when I walk in the living room, to see if she's in the window. I look at the sun spot in the kitchen where she liked to lay and be gently warmed by the sun.
Mom said she's going to look for one of those DIY stepping stone kits so we all can make a marker for Stella. I plan on getting one of those wildflower mixes and sprinkling the seeds all around where she is buried. She loved chasing those tiny moths that would come into the house - I believe she would love it to have butterflies, bugs and birds hang around her resting spot.
She may only have lived with us for a year and a half, but time doesn't matter when you love someone...
Had a nice family time last night. Picked up Bear from band practice, then picked up Sharky. Got home and had a nice pasta primavera alfredo for dinner. (Sounds expensive, but it's just jarred alfredo sauce, pasta and frozen veggies. LOL) Watched Bones and Lost and all ate some leftover Halloween candy, being silly and throwing (Hershey) kisses all over the room when someone asked for a kiss. (Don't worry, we're all good shots and the dog didn't get any of it. LOL)
Thanksgiving plans keep changing, but I think they are all set now. We were going to have T-day at Auntie Sue's again (like last year) but she and the other residents of the park are being "evicted" (owners are turning the campground into a family commune). So, after a lot of back and forth, Mom and sDad have decided to have T-day at their place. Good for everyone. We'll probably make a couple of dishes and bring them down and Mom is inviting Auntie Sue because no one wants to (1) be alone during a holiday or (2) cook while moving. LOL We will also have a birthday cake to celebrate all the birthdays coming up (mine, Bear's, sDad's and Sharky's). Yeah, I know, sounds weird to have birthday cake at Thanksgiving, but what the hey! LOL
