Just got back from Jax Zoo's SPOOKTACULAR! It was a lot of fun. We met up with C, L and Miss B (C's mom) and went thru with them. (C bought the tickets for us as a Halloween present this year.) Pumpkinville was adorable, I love the carved pumpkins they have - supposedly 1000 this year. Petunia was a fairy pirate and L was a black cat - both of them were absolutely adorable.
Our fave part, as always, is the Range of the Jaguar because most of the creatures are nocturnal and are up and about when the sun goes down. The jaguars were playing, so were the capybaras, the tapirs, the armadillos, etc., even the sloth was awake and grooming himself!
Petunia freaked over the carousel again and didn't ride (even though she had talked about it for days). She wanted to go on the big blow-up slide and freaked out then too. She did go on the baby slide and was happy.
No haunted house there this year, just a "fun cave" and a fun house mirrors, etc. along the end walk. Trick or Treat lane (Candy factory?) had lots of stuff, including TG Lee chocolate milk (the adults got some too LOL) and coupons for free Jr. Frosty's, and of course, candy.
All in all, we had a fabulous time and everyone enjoyed themselves. We owe C and her family a huge thank you for treating us. I'm going to have the kids write ty notes this weekend and mail them to her.
