I love the way Petunia talks. She was telling me about a new friend she made in school today - Angelo. "Rhymes with Buffalo," she said, "that's how I remember it." I asked her what he looks like so I know which kid he is when I see him, and she said he wasn't black or white, "Just very tan, kinda like Daddy", but "bald with sprinkles instead of regular hair". I love it - sprinkles! She thinks he's crazy because he always says "Hey Baby" when he sees her. She giggled when she told me that. What a flirt. LOL
Ran to Publix to get dinner and they had catfish on sale - so guess what we are having for dinner? Yep, catfish! Mmmm, "fried" cajun catfish nuggets, yummy. Going to let Bug cook them. He did such an excellent job last time! I called Sharky on the phone to let him know we were having a treat for dinner but he didn't sound as excited as I hoped he would. Guess he is pretty tired.
Saw the two new Fresca flavours in the soda aisle. Black Cherry and Peach. Coke products were on sale (2 for $5) but I didn't want to buy a 12 pack just in case they were nasty. I would much rather buy a 2 liter instead and that way, in case it was nasty, the kids could drink it and I wouldn't feel like I was wasting it. At least they didn't mess with the original one. I think. It used to be "grapefruit" flavoured, but now it says "sparkling citrus". Mmm, Coke? Don't mess with my Fresca, please? They redesigned the logo and made it all, hmmm, what does it look like? 1970s retro space age? Yeah, that's it. I don't know if I like it or not. Check out the website and tell me what you think.
Mom sent the kids a box of salt water taffy made by the Len Libby Co. from Maine. It's actually pretty good. It's soft and sticky and the flavours are subtle but enjoyable. There's a picture of the famous Lenny, the Chocolate Moose on their website. Mom says he's pretty hysterical in real life.
On the phone today, Mom told me she bought me a pair of shoes in Maine and I should get them next week. My sDad picked them out. Both of them are so excited about these shoes, it's unbelievable. *rolls eyes* All I wanted was a pair of split back sneakers that won't rub on my tendons and they've picked me out a black lace up funky soled things. I have NO idea - guess I'll just wait and see...
