Well, I did work a little in my AB today. I used a punch and glued small snowflakes to the winter page. Looked very cute with Grandma's little winter postcards I have pasted there.
I also took my first step in making a window - I actually cut a square out of one of the pages! LOL Very brave of me to do so. LOL I have two b&w pics that I will be colouring. The first, looking "thru" the window, is a shoulder and head of a sweet young girl. Thru the window is a fairy-like woman strolling in the woods.
The AB (altered book) is going to be a present for my mom. It has many pictures of my grandmother (copied photographs) and pictures that my grandmother actually drew. I am including poems that Grandma wrote, along with poems I have been inspired to add.
Like everything else in my life, this particular project is taking forever to do. I think this is in year two of production? *rolls eyes* In fact, I do not think I've actually done anything in it for at least a year. *sigh* I am such a procrastinator.
Well, I do admit, this whole project is very emotional for me. I miss my Grandmother terribly, even though she's been gone almost 6 years now. She would have LOVED the whole altered book idea and really would have had fun with it. I hope she's with me during this project. Sometimes I feel her near...
