Sharky is missing and I don't know whether I should freak or not. On my way home from the field trip (more on that later), I called him at work and one of the guys said that he hadn't shown up after his doctor's appointment this morning. I went straight home and he's not here. I called the doctor's office, but because of state law, they cannot even tell me if he is a patient there. (Stupid - I can make appointments for him but they cannot tell me if he showed up for the appointment.) Well, where the hell is he?

Never mind. I called his work back and they said he did call in and had to go get prescriptions filled first. *insert swear words here* I just told his boss that I was concerned because I didn't know if his truck had broken down or not, yada yada yada...

OK, now on to the field trip!

I learned many things this morning:

  1. I am glad I am not a bus driver
  2. I am glad I am not a teacher
  3. Middle school girls do not want to obey other kids' mothers
  4. Middle school boys are generally friendly to their friends' mothers
  5. Kids are loud
The movie, The March of the Penguins, was really great. Morgan Freeman was the perfect narrator for it. Very little violence, no blood, a few dead penguins, lots of cute & cuddlyness and just a wee bit of soft core penguin porn made it a fab movie to show to a bunch of giggling kids. LOL Seriously, the penguin love and romance was cute, watching him thrust into her was a bit much - especially for a "family" film. Shocked one teacher, made another supress his giggles. One teacher actually apologized to me - I told her I actually expected something along that line, I mean it was a Nat'l Geographic movie! LOL
The kids were so loud on the bus. The bus drove over the Hart Bridge (there and back) and I was very relieved that it did not drive over the Matthews Bridge - that would probably have given me a heart attack!
